Table Manner in Turkey

        Hi guys, welcome back again on my blog. I hope your always happy. Last week, I wrote about the eating habits of South Koreans. And now, this morning I shared one special topic. Do you know? Yes guys. I write about "Table Manner in the Eurasian region". Do you know the Eurasian area? Surely you know the country of Turkey, right? Turkey is a large country in the Eurasian region. Eurasia region is a country located in Europe and Asia. Therefore, Turkey is also known as a transcontinental country (transcendent).

   Do you know table manner in Turkey? Are you curious? Right. I will share about table manner in Turkey. Do you think the country has some specials in this table Manner? Come on, follow my discussion below!

1. Eating procedure
     A little similar to European eating procedures. That is using fork and knife equipment. The position of the knife is on the right and the knife on the left. You can see this picture!

     Guys, in the Turkey country have a habit of eating with forks and knives. Fork and knife tools are used when you eat rice, vegetables, meat, fish, cakes and biscuits.
Note:
✓ It should be noted guys, forks and knives are always used as tableware. Except for the use of spoons, the spoon is only used when you eat soup.
✓ When you have finished eating, the fork and spoon are placed in parallel. Like the picture below.

2. Setting the sit position at the dining table
      Your sitting position must also be considered. Like: your elbows are beside your body. Then position your body upright and your head doesn't bend too much.
Note:
✓ Never do your elbow position upright on the dining table.

3. Before eating always pray
In Turkey, Turkish people always pray before eating. Pray as shown below.

4. Older people start eating first.
     Guys, Turkish people always have a habit of respecting older people. Then new children eat. Usually, the younger ones always serve food in the Turkish family tradition.

5. After eating, never forget to read the prayer
     Turkish eating habits when finished eating. Do not forget to read prayers. Prayers like the picture below
"Thank you so much my (God) God for all you gave us".

       Okay guys, besides the explanation above. There is something more special about the Turkish people eating habits, includes:

a. Turkish people always drink tea in the morning.

     When having breakfast, the Turkish diet is very varied guys. Tea is the main drink that is always there at the dining table. Not only breakfast. In fact, lunch, dinner and eating are always present their meal time.

b. Breakfast is always with a variety of menus.

      Their meal menu varies: fried bread, biscuits, eggs, salads, vegetables, cucumbers, tomatoes, yogurt, butter, cheese and beef slices.

c. Lunch menu in Turkey. 
       Ok guys, you think that Turkish people lunch is unique, why? Well Turks always have a difference with the lunch menu. Usually this is the lunch dish: some vegetables, salad, dished, meat or legume, rice with sliced chicken and soup.

d. Always use paprika powder and tomato paste.

    As we know guys. There is a difference between Turkish people spices and Indonesian people. In Indonesia spices are always used as the main spice and as a characteristic of spices in Indonesia. In fact, the majority of Turkish cooking is always flavored with paprika powder or tomato paste.

e. There is always bread in the food menu

    Turkish citizens have unique habits guys. Bread is always there as a main course or appetizer menu.

f. Can not eat without yogurt
  
      Yoghurt is a partner to their meal. Like: eating rice smeared with yogurt sauce, eating soup by added yogurt. The main reason they always make yogurt in the diet is yogurt is very good for the health and digestion of the body.
